VALORANT Night Market: Why Your Dream Skin May Never Appear

VALORANT’s Night Market gives you six personal, discounted weapon-skin offers. It does not give every skin in the game a chance to appear. The difference matters most when you are waiting for a specific collection: eligibility rules can exclude your target before randomness even enters the picture.

Reveal the selection first, then compare the skins you actually want. A large discount on a weapon you rarely use is a different purchase from a smaller discount on your main weapon. This article explains the standing selection rules; use the countdown in your own client for the active market’s closing time.

What the six Night Market offers actually guarantee

Riot's Night.Market rules describe six random weapon skins selected for your account. Select, Deluxe and Premium Edition skins can appear. At least two offers are guaranteed to be Premium Edition or higher, and some Exclusive melee skins may also appear. A general statement that “all Exclusive skins are excluded” therefore oversimplifies the current rules.

The selection normally contains no more than two offers for the same weapon. Riot states an exception when that limit would prevent the account from receiving six offers. Neither the rarity guarantee nor the weapon limit promises a Vandal, Phantom, knife, finisher or particular collection.

Why a wanted skin is missing: eligibility or chance

Reason

What the rule means

What waiting can change

Too recent

The release Act must be at least two Acts before the current Act; Riot gives Act 3 receiving Act 1 content as its example.

A later market may make the release old enough, without guaranteeing selection.

Outside the eligible range

Select, Deluxe and Premium are the main eligible editions, with certain Exclusive melee possibilities.

An ordinary store route may be relevant; do not assume every tier will become eligible with age.

Limited Edition

Specially tagged limited releases, such as Champions collections, do not return to the Rotating Store or Night Market after leaving.

The ordinary rotation is not a solution for these tagged items.

The Limited Edition restriction comes from Riot's skin-tier explanation. Do not confuse that special tag with an ordinary collection having a limited featured-store window. Many regular collections rotate out of the featured panel without becoming the same category as a tagged Limited Edition release.

If the skin clears all three eligibility checks, its absence can simply mean it was not randomly selected for your account. Eligibility means a skin can appear; it does not mean a later reveal, a purchase or a larger VP balance will secure it.

Judge the revealed price, not the discount badge

Once the cards are open, rank only the offers you would realistically equip. Put your preferred skin and weapon first, check its final VP price, and compare that cost with the balance already on the account. Buying a less-wanted skin because its percentage discount is bigger can consume the budget for the item you actually wanted.

The screenshots are interface examples, not a forecast of your six skins, discount amounts or event duration. The numbers visible in your client are the ones to use. If the offer is worthwhile and your balance is short, compare the available options on the VALORANT Points purchase page after confirming the applicable product region.

Can support bring back an offer you missed?

Riot’s official Store guide explicitly says Player Support cannot modify store offers or grant expired offers. A support ticket is therefore not a way to request a particular Night Market skin or recover an expired personal discount. Keep ordinary technical or payment issues separate from a request to change the selection.

The normal individual-skin store rotates every 24 hours, according to that same guide, but there is no promised return date for an eligible skin. Check that store for a target that did not appear in the Night Market. For a specially tagged Limited Edition item, however, that advice does not override the exclusion rule.

Night Market questions worth settling before buying

Does revealing a card buy the skin?

No. Revealing shows the offer. Purchasing is a separate decision, so inspect all six before committing VP.

Does every player get the same six offers?

No. Riot describes the selection as personal to the account. A friend’s screenshot does not establish what your account can buy.

Are two high-tier offers the same as two skins I want?

No. The guarantee concerns edition level, not personal preference. If none of the revealed skins interests you, leaving the market without a purchase preserves the entire budget for a better match.
