Who Is Tartaglia?

Tartaglia is a limited 5-star Hydro Bow character from Snezhnaya, released in Version 1.1 (November 11, 2020). Also known as Childe, he is one of the Fatui Harbingers and a highly flexible on-field Hydro DPS.

Tartaglia is best known for Foul Legacy: Raging Tide, which lets him swap into melee stance for rapid Hydro application. He is a core unit in the famous International team and remains one of the best enablers for Xiangling and strong AoE reaction damage.

Skill Mechanics and Talent Priority

Normal Attack: Cutting Torrent

Performs up to 6 bow shots in ranged stance.
In melee stance, Tartaglia uses Hydro-infused dual-blade attacks.
His melee attacks are the main source of Hydro application in most teams.

Elemental Skill: Foul Legacy: Raging Tide

Cooldown: Variable.

Switches Tartaglia from bow stance into melee stance.
During melee stance, his attacks become Hydro and apply Riptide interactions very quickly.
The longer he stays in melee, the longer his cooldown becomes afterward.
Proper field time management is essential for smooth rotations.

Elemental Burst: Havoc: Obliteration

Energy Cost: 60. Cooldown: 15s.

In ranged stance, it fires a Hydro arrow and refunds Energy on hitting an enemy affected by Riptide.
