Who Is Albedo?

Albedo is a limited 5-star Geo Sword character from Mondstadt, released in Version 1.2 (December 23, 2020). He is the Chief Alchemist of the Knights of Favonius and one of the easiest off-field supports to slot into teams that can use extra damage without demanding long field time.

Albedo deals most of his damage through Abiogenesis: Solar Isotoma, which creates off-field Geo blossoms that scale with DEF. He works especially well in Geo teams, double Geo cores, and teams that want passive damage with minimal rotation cost.

Skill Mechanics and Talent Priority

Normal Attack: Favonius Bladework - Weiss

Performs up to 5 sword strikes.
Normal Attacks are rarely the focus of Albedo's support build.
On-field Albedo variants exist, but standard builds prioritize off-field Skill damage.

Elemental Skill: Abiogenesis: Solar Isotoma

Cooldown: 4s.

Creates a Geo construct that deals AoE Geo DMG on cast.
When enemies inside the field take damage, Transient Blossoms deal Geo DMG that scales with DEF.
This is Albedo's main damage source and the most important part of his build.

Elemental Burst: Rite of Progeniture: Tectonic Tide

Energy Cost: 40. Cooldown: 12s.

Deals AoE Geo DMG and creates extra Fatal Blossoms if Solar Isotoma is active.
Useful for extra front-loaded damage, but lower priority than his Skill in most builds.

For most players, Albedo only needs enough Talent investment to keep his Skill damage efficient. His Burst can stay lower in pure off-field builds.
