Yelan is a 5-star Hydro Bow character from Liyue, released in Version 2.7 (May 31, 2022). She is a mysterious intelligence officer whose gameplay centers on off-field Hydro application and HP-scaling DMG. Her Elemental Burst creates Exquisite Throw, which fires coordinated Hydro attacks whenever the active character uses Normal Attacks — making her one of the strongest off-field Hydro sub-DPS units in the game, comparable to Xingqiu but with team-wide DMG buffs.

Skill Mechanics and Talent Priority

Normal Attack: Stealthy Bowshot

Performs up to 4 consecutive bow shots.
Charged Attack: Fires a fully-charged Hydro arrow.
Breakthrough State: After 5s out of combat, the next Charged Attack requires 80% less charge and fires a Breakthrough Barb dealing AoE Hydro DMG based on Max HP.

Elemental Skill: Lingering Lifeline

Cooldown: 10s.

Fires a lifeline, dashing and marking enemies. Ends in an explosion dealing Hydro DMG based on Max HP.
Tap: Quick dash. Hold: Continuous movement with increased interruption resistance, direction controllable.
Each marked enemy has a 34% chance to reset the Breakthrough state.

Elemental Burst: Depth-Clarion Dice

Energy Cost: 70. Cooldown: 18s. Duration: 15s.

Deals AoE Hydro DMG and creates Exquisite Throw, which fires coordinated Hydro attacks (based on Max HP) when the active character uses Normal Attacks or when Lifeline explodes (once per second).
