Wild Rift Gifting Not Working? Check These 3 Limits First
If Wild Rift will not let you send a skin, adding more Wild Cores may solve nothing. Both accounts must be at least level 15, the friendship must be at least two weeks old, and the sender can send no more than two gifts in a 24-hour period. A full wallet cannot override any of those limits.
Start by identifying whether the item cannot be gifted, the friend cannot receive it yet, or an attempted gift has not arrived. These are three different problems with different fixes. The gift icon and the recipient’s account details provide more useful information than repeatedly retrying the payment.

The three account limits come before the price
Riot's gift-giving rules set the requirements below. The level threshold applies to both people, not just the player paying. The friendship requirement is two weeks, not two days or one week. Check the relationship with this exact recipient rather than the age of either account.
Requirement | What to check | Will buying Wild Cores fix it? |
|---|---|---|
Both accounts level 15 or above | Open both profiles and confirm the account levels. | No. The account below the threshold must progress. |
At least two weeks as friends | Confirm when this sender and recipient became friends. | No. More currency does not shorten the wait. |
Up to two gifts in a 24-hour period | Review gifts already sent during that period. | No. Do not assume a calendar-day reset or a larger pack adds slots. |
The present icon decides whether an item is giftable
Riot says that just about anything purchasable with Wild Cores can be given, including champions, skins, baubles, recalls and emotes. The practical test is the small present icon on the store item. A picture in Collection, an event reward or a cosmetic you already own is not by itself evidence of a valid gift route.
Choose the item from the store’s gifting flow instead of assuming that purchasing it for yourself will let you transfer it later. If the item has no gift icon, more currency cannot manufacture that option. Check another giftable item or the friend’s visible wishlist before committing to a purchase.
Once the item is giftable and the account limits are cleared, compare its displayed cost with the sender’s current balance. Only a genuine currency shortfall calls for a top-up. The Wild Rift Wild Cores purchase page is the relevant product route; confirm the product region and receiving account shown there before ordering.
Use the wishlist to avoid choosing the wrong version
The official wishlist instructions explain that a friend’s list is accessed through the heart icon on the right side of their profile. You can tap a listed item and follow the gift prompts. A wishlist holds up to 30 giftable items, but its owner controls which entries friends can see. An apparently empty list may therefore be a visibility choice, not a broken store.

Riot's skin documentation also distinguishes owning a skin from owning its champion. A skin can remain on an account until the champion is unlocked, so ask whether the friend can actually use the intended gift. League PC and Wild Rift inventories do not carry over between games; matching a skin name across the two does not make the purchase interchangeable.
Send through the gift flow, then check the result
Find the giftable item in the in-game store.
Tap the present icon and choose the intended friend.
Confirm the item, recipient and Wild Core amount; add an optional message.
Tap the button showing the Wild Core price to complete the gift.
Have the recipient check the relevant account before treating it as missing.
The official wishlist page says gifts may take a few minutes to reach recipients. That is not a promise about a third-party top-up or an exact delivery deadline. If the wait is longer than usual, check whether the send action completed and contact Riot with the relevant purchase details instead of sending the same gift again immediately.
A sent gift is not an ordinary refundable skin purchase
The Wild Rift refund policy lists sent and received gifts as non-refundable under its normal rules, subject to applicable law. Do not apply the ordinary unused-content, 14-day conditions to a gift and assume that makes it eligible. The separate gift rule still matters.
If account compromise caused the gift, Riot’s gifting page directs you to submit a ticket so support can investigate. For an intentional present, the useful protection happens before confirmation: check the exact friend, exact item and the three eligibility limits. A suitable gift is one the recipient can receive and use, not merely one the sender can afford.
