Marvel Rivals Pop & Win: What the 50% Cross-Pool Deal Really Saves

Marvel Rivals’ Halloween Pop & Win has a useful discount with an easy-to-miss restriction: paying full price for a balloon in one costume pool discounts the same draw number in the other two pools by 50%. It does not mean every remaining balloon becomes half price, and it does not mean the first costume costs 50% less.

The three featured costumes are Invisible Woman’s Unseen Weaver, Deadpool’s Nurse-Pool and Mister Fantastic’s Mr. Malignance. The event is already running. For anyone interested in more than one costume, the practical question is whether the cross-pool savings reduce a planned purchase or tempt an extra one.

The Cross-Pool Promo follows the draw number

The October 15 official patch notes give an exact example: popping the third balloon for Costume A at full price makes the third balloon for Costume B and Costume C each 50% off their original prices. The matching number is the key. A full-price third attempt does not establish a discount on the first or fourth attempt elsewhere.

The published trigger is a full-price balloon. Do not budget as though buying an already-discounted balloon creates another fresh round of discounts. Before confirming each attempt, inspect the selected pool, the draw position, the original price and the discounted amount shown by the live event. Those four fields tell you whether the advertised mechanic is actually helping this purchase.

Half price in two pools is not half price across three

For one matching draw position, call the original prices A, B and C. If A is paid at full price and both corresponding discounts are available and used, the combined cost is A + 0.5B + 0.5C. The saving against paying all three full prices is 0.5B + 0.5C. That saving depends on the actual prices and on wanting all three attempts.

What the saving means

A only

A

The full-price trigger itself receives no cross-pool reduction.

A and B

A + 0.5B

Only the matching B attempt uses the triggered discount.

A, B and C

A + 0.5B + 0.5C

Both matching discounted attempts must actually be used.

If all three original prices at that position were equal to P, buying all three would cost 2P instead of 3P: one-third less overall, not one-half. Buying two would cost 1.5P instead of 2P, a 25% reduction. These are conditional arithmetic examples, not published event prices or a claim that every position costs the same.

The calculation covers attempts at a matching position, not the guaranteed cost of obtaining a costume. It does not account for reaching that position in another pool, earlier purchases, reward outcomes or any separate guarantee. Read those live rules before expanding the budget from one attempt to an entire costume plan.

A discounted second pool can still increase your spending

A player who only wants Unseen Weaver has not saved money by adding Nurse-Pool solely because a matching balloon is discounted. The comparison is between the original one-pool plan and the new two-pool plan, not between two imaginary full-price purchases. A lower marginal price is useful only when the additional reward was already desirable.

Before starting, name the primary costume and set a separate maximum for optional cross-pool attempts. After any desired result arrives, recalculate what remains worth buying. A discount in a second pool is an option; it is not a requirement to finish that pool or a reason to ignore an already-reached spending limit.

If a planned purchase needs additional currency, inspect the available account and platform options on the Marvel Rivals purchase page. Adding currency does not itself trigger the Cross-Pool Promo; the official trigger is the qualifying full-price balloon purchase inside the event.

Pop & Win and All Hallows’ Glow have different clocks

Both activities end on November 13, but not at the same hour. Pop & Win closes at 02:00 UTC, while All Hallows’ Glow closes at 09:00 UTC. That seven-hour gap matters if you return on the final day expecting every Halloween page to remain available together.

The free Rocket costume belongs to a separate event route

Official All Hallows Glow artwork featuring Rocket Raccoon, Scarlet Witch and Hela

The same official update identifies Rocket Raccoon’s Trash King as a free reward from completing All Hallows’ Glow event missions. Scarlet Witch’s Chaos Weaver and Hela’s The Redeemed are among that event’s premium rewards. Those labels should not be merged with the three Pop & Win costume pools.

If your goal is simply a new Halloween costume, inspect the free mission route before funding random attempts. If you specifically want one of the Pop & Win costumes, keep its pool rules, discounted draw positions and spending cap together. The promotion is most useful when it lowers the cost of choices you already intended to make.
