Genshin Impact linnea Build Guide: Best Weapons, Artifacts, Team Comps & Materials
Build linnea as a 5-star Geo Bow support and off-field Sub DPS with the best weapons, artifacts, teams, constellations, and materials.
Linnea is a limited 5-star Geo Bow character in Genshin Impact and one of the key units for Moon-Crystallize teams. She can function as an off-field Sub DPS and support, providing Moon-Crystallize reaction damage, teamwide Moon-Crystallize damage bonuses, Geo RES reduction, healing, and Elemental Mastery buffs.
Her biggest value lies in her ability to convert Hydro + Geo Crystallize reactions into Moon-Crystallize reactions when she is in the party. She also increases the team’s Moon-Crystallize base damage based on her DEF. For every 100 DEF Linnea has, she increases Moon-Crystallize base damage by 0.7%, up to a maximum of 14%. This means she reaches the full bonus at around 2,000 DEF.
Linnea’s ascension stat is CRIT Rate, reaching 24.2% after her final ascension. This makes her easier to build with strong CRIT ratios while still stacking enough DEF for her support scaling.

Linnea Character Profile
Linnea Information
Linnea Gameplay
Linnea’s gameplay revolves around her Elemental Skill and the summon it creates. Her summon, Lumi, provides off-field Geo damage, Moon-Crystallize reaction damage, Geo RES reduction, and team support effects.
Linnea is not a traditional on-field DPS. Instead, she supports the team from off-field by enabling Moon-Crystallize reactions and increasing the team’s reaction damage. She is especially valuable in teams built around Hydro + Geo interactions, where Moon-Crystallize can become either the main source of damage or an important source of additional team damage.
Her Elemental Burst provides teamwide healing, continues to heal the active character for a short duration, and refreshes Lumi’s duration. This gives Linnea defensive utility in addition to her damage support.
Linnea Skill Mechanics
Linnea’s kit is mainly built around her Elemental Skill. The Skill has different effects depending on whether it is tapped once or pressed repeatedly.
Elemental Skill: Tap
When Linnea taps her Elemental Skill, she summons Lumi to the field. Lumi lasts for 25 seconds and attacks enemies automatically.
Each Lumi attack deals two instances of AoE Geo DMG. If a Moon Cage exists on the field, Lumi will also deal AoE Geo DMG that is considered Moon-Crystallize reaction damage. This mode is best for off-field support, sustained damage, and reaction-based team play.
Elemental Skill: Repeated Press
After summoning Lumi, Linnea can press her Elemental Skill or Normal Attack repeatedly to quickly feed Lumi. Once Lumi is fully fed, it immediately deals a powerful burst of AoE Geo DMG that is considered Moon-Crystallize reaction damage.
After this burst attack, Lumi switches into a low-frequency mode. In this state, Lumi’s off-field attack frequency decreases, and it no longer deals Moon-Crystallize reaction damage during that rotation. Instead, it only deals normal Geo damage. This mode is mainly used for Linnea’s own single-instance burst damage.
Elemental Burst
Linnea’s Elemental Burst heals the entire party and continues healing the active character for a short time. It also refreshes Lumi’s duration, making it important for maintaining rotation consistency.
The Burst’s level mainly affects healing value, so it can be upgraded based on your survivability needs.
Geo RES Reduction
While Lumi is on the field, nearby enemies have their Geo RES reduced by 15%. After the team triggers full Radiance, this Geo RES reduction increases to 30%. This makes Linnea especially useful for Geo-heavy Moon-Crystallize teams.
Elemental Mastery Buff
If the team includes a Moonsign character, Linnea increases that teammate’s Elemental Mastery. If the team includes a non-Moonsign character, Linnea instead increases her own Elemental Mastery. The buff is based on 5% of Linnea’s DEF.
Exploration Utility
Linnea also has useful overworld utility. Her optimized fast Charged Aimed Shot can help catch small animals and collect ores more conveniently, improving exploration efficiency.
Linnea Strengths and Weaknesses
Linnea Talent Priority
Linnea’s talent priority is simple. Her Elemental Skill is the most important part of her kit, followed by her Elemental Burst. Her Normal Attack has little practical value in standard support builds.
Elemental Skill
Linnea’s Elemental Skill is her highest priority because it controls Lumi, her off-field Geo damage, Moon-Crystallize support, Geo RES reduction, and main utility. Whether you use tap Skill for sustained off-field support or repeated Skill for burst damage, this is the talent that most directly improves her performance.
Elemental Burst
Linnea’s Elemental Burst mainly affects her healing. If your team needs more survivability, upgrade this talent. If your team already has enough defensive utility, you can leave it at a moderate level.
Normal Attack
Linnea’s Normal Attack is not important in most teams. She is rarely played as an on-field attacker, so this talent can remain at Level 1.
Linnea Best Artifacts and Stats
Linnea’s best artifact sets depend on constellation level and team needs. At C0, her best general set is usually Song of Dawning Stars and Moon. After C1, Husk of Opulent Dreams becomes more competitive. If the team needs another support set, Night Song of the Moonweaver can also be used to fill team requirements.
Best Artifact Sets
Song of Dawning Stars and Moon
Song of Dawning Stars and Moon is Linnea’s best artifact set at C0. It supports her Moon-Crystallize-focused role and helps maximize her value in Hydro + Geo reaction teams.
Husk of Opulent Dreams
Husk of Opulent Dreams is recommended after C1 or when you want to focus more on Linnea’s DEF scaling and personal contribution. Since many parts of her support and damage value benefit from DEF, this set can be a strong long-term option.
Night Song of the Moonweaver
Night Song of the Moonweaver is a flexible support option when your team needs this set effect and no other teammate is using it. It is best treated as a team-composition-dependent choice.
Linnea Recommended Main Stats
Linnea Recommended Sub Stats
Recommended Stat Goals
Linnea’s DEF target is especially important because her Moon-Crystallize base damage bonus reaches its maximum value at around 2,000 DEF. After reaching that point, focus on CRIT stats and Energy Recharge according to your team’s rotation needs.
Linnea Best Weapons
Linnea prefers Bows with CRIT stats, DEF synergy, or strong support utility. Her signature weapon is the best overall option, but several 5-star CRIT Bows are also usable. For low-investment builds, Slingshot performs surprisingly well and can outperform many 4-star choices in general use.
Best Weapons for Linnea
Best 5-Star Weapon: Frostbound Oathbranch
Frostbound Oathbranch is Linnea’s signature weapon and her best overall choice. It is designed around her kit and offers the best balance of personal damage and support value.
Best Support Weapon: Elegy for the End
Elegy for the End is a strong pure-support option. It provides Energy Recharge and teamwide buffs, making it useful when Linnea is played more as a team enabler than a personal damage contributor.
Best Energy Weapon: Favonius Warbow
Favonius Warbow is especially useful in high-pressure content or teams with strict Energy requirements. If your team struggles to maintain Burst uptime, Favonius Warbow can improve rotation consistency.
Best Budget Weapon: Slingshot
Slingshot is a strong 3-star option and can outperform many 4-star weapons in standard scenarios. It is especially useful for players who do not have premium Bows or refined 4-star alternatives.
Linnea Best Team Compositions
Linnea’s team-building logic focuses on Hydro + Geo compositions. Her role is to make Moon-Crystallize reactions a major damage source or a strong source of additional team damage.
The standard Moon-Crystallize team structure is:
For mixed-damage teams or flexible support setups, Linnea can also be paired with Columbina, Ineffa, and a flex unit.
Recommended Hydro Teammates
Recommended Geo Supports and Sustain Units
Gorou is generally recommended at C6 when used in these teams. Zhongli and C2 Xilonen are also strong options for Geo support and survivability.
Linnea Moon-Crystallize Teams
Zibai Moon-Crystallize Team
Zibai + Linnea + Yeloya / Gorou + Columbina / Aino
This is a standard Moon-Crystallize setup. Zibai acts as the main damage dealer, Linnea enables Moon-Crystallize and provides off-field support, while Yeloya or Gorou improves Geo performance. Columbina or Aino provides Hydro application.
Navia or Zibai Mixed-Damage Team
Navia / Zibai + Linnea + Columbina + Ineffa / Yeloya
This team uses Linnea as a Moon-Crystallize support while maintaining strong mixed damage. Navia or Zibai provides the main damage core, Columbina enables Hydro interaction, and Ineffa or Yeloya fills the final support slot.
Arataki Itto Moon-Crystallize Team
Arataki Itto + Linnea + Gorou + Columbina / Aino
This team uses Itto as the main Geo damage dealer while Linnea adds Moon-Crystallize support and off-field utility. Gorou strengthens Geo scaling, while Columbina or Aino provides Hydro application.
Chiori or Noelle Moon-Crystallize Team
Chiori / Noelle + Linnea + Columbina + Yeloya / Gorou
This team works as a flexible Geo-centered composition. Chiori or Noelle provides Geo damage, Linnea enables Moon-Crystallize support, and the Hydro slot keeps the reaction engine active.

Linnea Constellations
Linnea is already valuable at C0 because she can enable Moon-Crystallize and provide several support effects. However, her constellations significantly improve team damage, Lumi’s burst value, and Moon-Crystallize performance.
C1 is a strong early upgrade, C2 is her core constellation, and C6 is her strongest premium investment.
Constellation Performance
C1
Linnea’s C1 increases the team’s Moon-Crystallize reaction damage through a stacking mechanic based on 75% of Linnea’s DEF. It also increases the burst damage dealt by Lumi in repeated Skill mode, with the bonus based on 150% of Linnea’s DEF.
This is a strong early constellation for improving both team damage and Linnea’s own burst contribution.
C2: Core Constellation
C2 is Linnea’s most important constellation. After triggering Moon Cage Harmonics, Hydro and Geo teammates gain 40% CRIT DMG. Lumi’s repeated Skill mode also gains an additional 150% CRIT DMG.
In addition, both tap Skill and repeated Skill states deal one extra instance of Moon Cage damage. This makes C2 a major upgrade for Moon-Crystallize teams and the best stopping point for many players.
C6
Linnea’s C6 strengthens her C1 effect, improves stacking efficiency, and increases the related damage bonus to 150% of its original value. It also elevates the team’s Moon-Crystallize reaction damage by 25%.
This is her strongest constellation for high-investment players and greatly improves the ceiling of Moon-Crystallize teams.
Linnea Ascension and Talent Materials
To fully build Linnea, players should prepare materials for character level 1–90 and a talent investment target around 1 / 10 / 9. Since Linnea’s Elemental Skill is her core talent, prioritize Skill materials first.
Important Material Sources
Talent Materials: Vagabond Series
Linnea uses the Vagabond talent book series. These materials are obtained from the Lightless Capital domain in Nod-Krai.
The domain is available every Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday, from daily reset until the next daily reset.
Weekly Boss Material: Heretical Phial
Heretical Phial drops from The Doctor weekly boss in Nod-Krai. Since weekly boss rewards can only be claimed once per week, players should begin farming this material early if they plan to raise Linnea’s talents.
Boss Material: Fallen Feather
Fallen Feather drops from the world boss Watcher: Fallen Heaven in Mondstadt. This boss is permanently available and can be farmed whenever players have enough Original Resin.
Artifact Domain: Luna Kid’s Hoard
Song of Dawning Stars and Moon can be farmed from the Luna Kid’s Hoard domain in Nod-Krai. This domain is permanently available and should be prioritized if you are preparing Linnea’s best C0 artifact set.
Conclusion
Linnea is a limited 5-star Geo Bow character and a core support for Moon-Crystallize teams. She provides off-field Geo damage, Moon-Crystallize conversion, Moon-Crystallize damage bonuses, Geo RES reduction, healing, and Elemental Mastery support, making her one of the most important units for Hydro + Geo reaction teams.
Her best talent priority is Elemental Skill first, followed by Elemental Burst, while Normal Attack can remain at Level 1. Her best C0 artifact set is Song of Dawning Stars and Moon, while Husk of Opulent Dreams becomes a strong option after C1. For weapons, Frostbound Oathbranch is her best-in-slot choice, while Aqua Simulacra, Hunter’s Path, Skyward Harp, Elegy for the End, Favonius Warbow, and Slingshot are all usable depending on build direction.
Linnea is already useful at C0, but C2 is her most important constellation and the best premium stopping point for most players. C6 greatly increases the ceiling of Moon-Crystallize teams and is ideal for high-investment players.
