Clash of Clans Raid Medals: Do You Lose Them by Leaving?
Leaving a Clan after attacking in its Raid Weekend does not forfeit your Raid Medals. Supercell says qualifying players remain entitled to the offensive and defensive medal bonuses even if they are no longer in the Clan when those rewards are determined. The important condition is that you actually attacked.
Seeing Capital Gold arrive while the medal balance stays unchanged can also be normal: Raid Medals are awarded when the Raid Weekend ends. Before assuming a reward is missing or that a transfer erased it, check which reward you are watching and whether the weekend has finished.

First separate Capital Gold from Raid Medals
Supercell’s Clan Capital rewards page lists four different rewards: Capital Gold, Raid Medals, Capital Trophies and Reputation. They track different parts of your participation. Your personal looted Gold total is not a live preview of the number of medals you will receive.
Capital Gold comes from destroying buildings during raids and can also be produced through the Forge. Raid Medals come from Raid Weekend results and arrive at the end. Reputation records contributions to Capital buildings, while Capital Trophies relate to the Clan’s raid performance and league standing. A change in one does not require all the others to update at the same moment.

An attack secures eligibility; membership alone does not
The official rule is direct: players who did not attack in a Clan’s Raid Weekend cannot get rewards from that weekend. Being on the member list, watching the raid map or joining before the payout is not equivalent to attacking. When checking a missing reward, confirm an attack was actually recorded for that Clan.
The Raid Weekends participation rules add another restriction: once you attack in one Clan’s Raid Weekend, you cannot participate in another Clan’s Raid Weekend. Moving afterward preserves the rewards you qualified for, but does not open a second set of attacks with the new Clan.
There is a narrower late-join restriction for Open Clans. A player who joined after the Raid Weekend began, has not attacked and is not a Leader, Co-leader or Elder cannot participate in that weekend. If the attack option is unavailable after joining, check those conditions before treating it as a reward bug.
What you keep when you leave the Clan

If you attacked, you keep the Capital Gold looted in those attacks. You also remain eligible for medal bonuses when enemy Districts are completely destroyed, when all Districts in an enemy Capital are destroyed, and for the Clan’s defensive performance. Supercell explicitly includes results achieved after you have already left.
Your situation | What the rule means |
|---|---|
Attacked, then left before the weekend ended | You retain eligibility for the original Clan’s qualifying raid rewards. |
Joined but never attacked | Membership does not qualify you for that weekend’s rewards. |
Attacked for one Clan, then moved to another | You cannot participate in a second Clan’s Raid Weekend. |
Changed Clans or was kicked out | Reputation level and the Capital Gold contribution statistic are retained. |
Keeping a contribution statistic does not mean donated Gold becomes a transferable balance. The rule preserves your Reputation level and the profile record of how much you contributed. Treat that record as progression history, not as a refund of resources already spent on buildings.
Why similar personal attacks can still lead to a shared payout
Supercell states that participants in the same Raid Weekend receive the same number of Raid Medals. District destruction and full Capital destruction create rewards for the participating group; defensive destruction of attacking troop housing space also adds medals. You are contributing to a collective result, not simply converting your personal Gold into medals at a fixed exchange rate.
That makes coordination useful even when your own loot total looks modest. Damage persists for later attacks, and spells remain for your attack and the one immediately after it. Finishing a damaged District or setting up a teammate can help the Clan complete targets. The rules give five attacks for the weekend and one additional attack if you are the player who three-stars a District.
Using your attacks supports the shared result, but it does not promise a fixed medal total. Avoid judging the payout by one impressive personal hit or by another player’s different Clan. Check participation, completed targets and the end-of-weekend result together.
If the weekend has ended, check the record before spending
Start with the Clan where your attack was recorded and the result of that specific Raid Weekend. If you participated and the reward still appears inconsistent after the weekend has ended, contact in-game support with your player tag, the original Clan tag and screenshots of the relevant attack and result records. Those details distinguish eligibility from a display or account issue without guessing a processing time.
When the medals are available, the Trader’s official rules allow Raid Medal offers from Town Hall 6 onward, with offers changing weekly on Tuesday. Review the actual offer and your inventory before confirming. Spending Gems to replace an item you expected to buy with medals is a separate purchase decision; it does not recover or accelerate the missing reward.
For a separate Gem purchase, you can review the Clash of Clans product page. Resolve the raid result first so you can budget around the medals you actually receive.
