The Marvel Rivals Ignite 2026 Stage 1 Playoffs bring together the leading teams from the Americas, EMEA, Pacific, and China regions.

These playoffs determine four regional champions, award Stage 1 prize money and Championship Points, and decide all 10 teams advancing to the first international Marvel Rivals event of the year: the Mid-Season Finals.

Pacific and China completed their regional tournaments on June 28. The Americas and EMEA playoffs run from July 2 through July 5.

Every region uses a double-elimination bracket. Standard playoff matches are Best of 5, while each regional Grand Final is a Best of 7. The playoffs also mark Cyclops’ first appearance in official Ignite competition because the tournament has moved to Patch 8.5.

This guide covers the complete Marvel Rivals Ignite Stage 1 Playoffs schedule, all qualified teams, opening matchups, current results, Mid-Season Finals qualification rules, prize distribution, broadcasts, and free viewer rewards.

Current Results and Mid-Season Finals Qualifiers

As of July 2, the Pacific and China playoff results are complete.

Pacific Results

Gen.G Esports won the Pacific Stage 1 championship, with REJECT finishing second. Both teams qualified for the 2026 Mid-Season Finals.

Gen.G confirmed its Pacific championship, while REJECT separately confirmed its runner-up finish and international qualification. The Grand Final ended 4–1 in Gen.G’s favor.

China Results

OUG won the China Stage 1 championship after defeating AC.E 4–0 in the Grand Final.

OUG and AC.E claimed China’s two Mid-Season Finals positions. SLZZ placed third, while FL.CN finished fourth.

Americas and EMEA Results

The Americas and EMEA qualifiers will be finalized by July 5.

Each region sends its top three teams to the Mid-Season Finals, meaning a team does not need to win the regional Grand Final to qualify. Reaching third place is sufficient in these two regions.

China

The official qualified-team graphic lists eight teams for the Americas, eight for EMEA, eight for Pacific, and six for China.

Pacific differs from the other regions because its Group Stage was divided between Asia and Oceania. Six Asian teams and two Oceanian teams advanced into one combined Pacific playoff bracket.

Americas Playoffs Schedule and Opening Matchups

The Americas Stage 1 Playoffs take place from July 2 through July 5.

Upper Bracket Round 1

The four opening matchups are:

  • Team Liquid Citadel vs FlyQuest

  • Yeah We Lost vs Sentinels

  • Stickdrift vs 100 Thieves

  • TSM vs Swamp Gaming

The winners advance through the Upper Bracket. Losing teams receive a second opportunity in the Lower Bracket rather than being immediately eliminated.

Americas Day-by-Day Format

Day 1 – July 2

Four Upper Bracket opening matches determine the first set of winners and Lower Bracket teams.

Day 2 – July 3

The two Upper Bracket second-round matches are played, followed by the opening Lower Bracket elimination matches.

Day 3 – July 4

The Upper Bracket Final determines the first Grand Final participant. Additional Lower Bracket matches reduce the remaining field.

Day 4 – July 5

The Lower Bracket Final decides the final Mid-Season Finals qualifier and the second Grand Final participant. The regional champion is then determined in the BO7 Grand Final.

The Americas sends three teams to the Mid-Season Finals. The Upper Bracket Final participants and Lower Bracket survivor will therefore occupy the qualification positions by the end of the tournament.

EMEA Playoffs Schedule and Opening Matchups

The EMEA playoffs use the same July 2–5 double-elimination structure.

Upper Bracket Round 1

The official opening matches are:

  • Natus Vincere vs FYR Strays

  • RAD vs Shikigami

  • Virtus.pro vs Reason Gaming

  • Pulsar Esports vs Team Heretics

The bracket begins with four BO5 series before moving into Upper and Lower Bracket rounds.

EMEA Day-by-Day Format

Day 1 – July 2

All four Upper Bracket opening matches are played.

Day 2 – July 3

The Upper Bracket second round and first Lower Bracket eliminations take place.

Day 3 – July 4

The Upper Bracket Final produces one Grand Finalist, while two Lower Bracket rounds determine which teams remain alive.

Day 4 – July 5

The Lower Bracket Final and Grand Final conclude the region.

Like the Americas, EMEA receives three Mid-Season Finals places. This makes the Lower Bracket Final especially important: both participants may have already secured the final two qualification positions, depending on the bracket path, while the winner continues to the Grand Final.

Pacific Playoff Bracket and Final Results

Pacific combined six Asia representatives with two Oceania representatives.

Pacific Opening Matchups

The initial bracket featured:

  • REJECT vs N1HEX

  • AAAd vs Chiefs Esports Club

  • XOXO01 vs Zero Tenacity

  • The Burgers vs Gen.G Esports

The eight teams competed in one double-elimination bracket between June 25 and June 28.

Pacific Final Standings

The confirmed leading placements were:

  1. Gen.G Esports

  2. REJECT

  3. XOXO01

Gen.G and REJECT earned the region’s two Mid-Season Finals positions. Because Pacific only receives two international places, finishing third was not enough to qualify.

The result also demonstrated the purpose of the merged Pacific format: an Oceania representative and an Asia representative could compete directly for the same regional title and international qualification places.

China Playoff Bracket and Final Results

China used a six-team double-elimination bracket.

China Opening Matches

The opening round included:

  • FL.CN vs NB

  • SLZZ vs AimMiracle.X

OUG and AC.E received higher starting positions in the bracket and entered against the winners of the opening matches.

China Final Standings

The leading placements were:

  1. OUG

  2. AC.E

  3. SLZZ

  4. FL.CN

OUG defeated AC.E 4–0 in the Grand Final. Both finalists advanced to the Mid-Season Finals, while SLZZ and FL.CN remained outside China’s two international qualification places.

How the Stage 1 Playoff Format Works

Double-Elimination Bracket

A team is not eliminated after its first defeat.

Instead:

  1. Every team begins in the Upper Bracket.

  2. A first defeat sends the team into the Lower Bracket.

  3. A second defeat eliminates the team.

  4. The Upper Bracket winner advances directly to the Grand Final.

  5. The Lower Bracket winner becomes the second Grand Finalist.

This format gives teams one opportunity to recover from a poor series, but Lower Bracket teams must play additional elimination matches to reach the final.

The official Viewer Guide and Stage 1 Rulebook both confirm the double-elimination system.

Best-of-5 Matches

All playoff matches before the Grand Final use a Best-of-5 format.

The first team to win three maps wins the series.

A BO5 format rewards teams with deeper map pools and makes it more difficult to win through one favorable map or composition.

Best-of-7 Grand Final

Each regional Grand Final is a Best of 7.

The first team to win four maps becomes the Stage 1 regional champion.

The Rulebook applies the BO5 and BO7 structure to the Americas, EMEA, China, and combined Pacific brackets.

How Mid-Season Finals Qualification Works

Stage 1 is the only qualification path to the 2026 Mid-Season Finals.

A total of 10 teams advance:

  • Americas: 3

  • EMEA: 3

  • Pacific: 2

  • China: 2

The Pacific and China representatives have already been decided:

  • Gen.G Esports

  • REJECT

  • OUG

  • AC.E

The remaining six places will be filled by the top three Americas teams and top three EMEA teams.

Does a Team Need to Win Stage 1 to Qualify?

No.

The required placement depends on the region:

  • Americas: Top 3

  • EMEA: Top 3

  • Pacific: Top 2

  • China: Top 2

A Pacific or China team must reach the Grand Final. An Americas or EMEA team can qualify by finishing third.

What Else Is at Stake?

Stage 1 placements also award Championship Points used in the broader 2026 Ignite season.

Those points contribute to annual standings and can affect eventual Grand Finals qualification. Teams that miss the Mid-Season Finals therefore still have reasons to maximize their final regional placement.

Ignite Stage 1 Prize Pool

Stage 1 has a combined regional prize pool of $650,000:

  • Americas: $200,000

  • EMEA: $200,000

  • Pacific: $150,000

  • China: $100,000

The $650,000 covers complete regional Stage 1 placements, including teams eliminated during the Group Stage. The playoff placements receive the largest shares.

Free Ignite Stage 1 Viewer Rewards

The Season 8.5 update officially confirms that playoff predictions and in-game viewing missions award a Stage Nameplate, regional champion Sprays, Units, and Chrono Tokens.

The official Viewer Guide also confirms that special Playoffs Drops are available in addition to the standard Patch Drops. Current Twitch campaign listings divide the Wolverine rewards into two independent windows.

Twitch Drop Window 1

The first Ignite campaign runs from July 2 at 11:00 UTC until July 30 at 11:00 UTC.

Rewards are:

  • Watch 30 minutes: 100 Chrono Tokens

  • Watch 1 hour: Wolverine – Will of Galacta Spray

  • Watch 2 hours: Number One Fan Emoji

Twitch Drop Window 2

The second campaign runs from July 5 at 15:00 UTC until August 2 at 15:00 UTC.

Rewards are:

  • Watch 3 hours: 100 Chrono Tokens

  • Watch 4 hours: Wolverine – Victory Roar Emote

  • Watch 6 hours: Wolverine – Will of Galacta Costume

The two campaigns use separate progress counters. Watch time earned for Window 1 does not automatically complete Window 2.

Because Twitch campaign conditions can be updated, check the active campaign inside Twitch Drops Inventory before beginning a long viewing session.

How to Get the Free Wolverine Skin

To earn Wolverine – Will of Galacta:

  1. Visit the official Marvel Rivals Twitch Drops page.

  2. Log in with the platform account connected to your Marvel Rivals character.

  3. Link the correct Twitch account.

  4. Watch a Marvel Rivals broadcast displaying the Drops Enabled tag.

  5. Accumulate six hours during the second Ignite Stage 1 Drop window.

  6. Open Twitch Drops Inventory.

  7. Claim the costume.

  8. Restart Marvel Rivals if necessary.

  9. Collect the reward from the in-game mailbox.

Do not confuse the Wolverine campaign with the standard Season 8.5 Storm campaign. They have separate rewards, deadlines, and watch requirements.

How to Complete Playoff Predictions

Marvel Rivals also provides rewards through its in-game Esports interface.

The general process is:

  1. Launch Marvel Rivals.

  2. Open the Esports or Ignite event page.

  3. Select Stage 1 Playoffs.

  4. Open the regional prediction bracket.

  5. Choose your predicted winners.

  6. Submit the bracket before predictions lock.

  7. Return after matches to check mission progress.

  8. Use the in-game broadcast when required by an event mission.

Prediction deadlines differ by region. Pacific and China predictions are already closed because those tournaments have finished. Americas and EMEA predictions may lock once their relevant matches begin.

The official Season 8.5 patch confirms that both playoff predictions and the in-game broadcast are connected to the Stage 1 Event Missions.

Where to Watch Marvel Rivals Ignite

The official Viewer Guide lists the following broadcasts:

Regional-language coverage and approved co-streams may also be announced through official Marvel Rivals Esports social channels.

Do YouTube Broadcasts Give Twitch Drops?

No. Watching on YouTube does not normally advance a Twitch Drops campaign.

Use Twitch and confirm that:

  • The stream is under the Marvel Rivals category.

  • The channel displays Drops Enabled.

  • Your Marvel Rivals and Twitch accounts are linked.

  • Progress appears inside Twitch Drops Inventory.

The in-game Esports broadcast may be necessary for separate Playoff Event Missions, but it does not replace Twitch for Twitch-exclusive rewards.

Patch 8.5 and Cyclops’ Competitive Debut

The Group Stage used the Season 8 version of Marvel Rivals, while all regional Stage 1 Playoffs use Patch 8.5.

This creates a meaningful competitive adjustment because teams must adapt after completing their Group Stage schedules.

Cyclops is available in official Ignite competition for the first time during these playoffs. The official Viewer Guide specifically identifies his addition as a potential source of new strategies and team compositions.

Why the Patch Change Matters

Teams must account for:

  • Cyclops pick and ban priority

  • New ranged-pressure compositions

  • Revised Team-Up options

  • June buffs and nerfs

  • New counter-pick requirements

  • Different objective and map strategies

Pacific results already provide other regions with competitive data on Patch 8.5. Americas and EMEA teams can study those matches before finalizing their own approaches.

Key Storylines to Watch

Can the Americas and EMEA Favorites Avoid the Lower Bracket?

Every opening match is a BO5, reducing the chance that one unusual map result decides the series.

However, even an expected contender can fall into the Lower Bracket after one defeat and face multiple elimination matches before reaching the Grand Final.

How Often Will Cyclops Be Selected or Banned?

Cyclops is one of the largest unknowns entering the western regional playoffs.

Teams must decide whether to:

  • Select him early

  • Ban him

  • Build dive compositions against him

  • Use him only on suitable maps

  • Keep established Duelist combinations

Which Teams Adapt Best During a Long Series?

A BO5 or BO7 can require several composition changes.

Teams with deeper hero pools and more effective map-to-map adjustments have more opportunities to recover after losing an early map.

Will Another Team Make a Lower Bracket Run?

Double-elimination tournaments frequently create long recovery paths.

A team can lose on Day 1, survive several elimination matches, and still reach the Grand Final. The cost is a heavier schedule and fewer opportunities to prepare between series.

Common Ignite Stage 1 Misunderstandings

Pacific Is Not Only the Asia Region

Pacific combines six teams from Asia and two teams from Oceania during the playoff phase.

China Has Six Playoff Teams

The China bracket contains six teams, while the other three regional brackets contain eight.

One Loss Does Not Eliminate a Team

The first defeat moves a team to the Lower Bracket. The second defeat ends its tournament.

Not Every Match Is a BO7

Only the Grand Final is a Best of 7. All other Stage 1 playoff series are Best of 5.

Stage 1 Has More Than One Reward System

In-game predictions, in-game viewing missions, standard Patch Twitch Drops, and special Playoff Drops are separate systems.

The $650,000 Is Not One Single Bracket Prize

The total represents the combined Stage 1 prize allocation across four regions and includes Group Stage placements.

Only 10 Teams Reach the Mid-Season Finals

Americas and EMEA send three teams each. Pacific and China send two each.
