Honkai: Star Rail Planar Fissure Is Live: Spend Every Double Drop on the Right World
Honkai: Star Rail's Planar Fissure event is active from October 12 at 04:00 until October 25 at 03:59, based on server time. During the event, eligible Planar Ornament claims award double rewards, but the bonus is controlled by a limited opportunity counter that does not reset. That makes set selection more important than rushing into the first available world: every claim should solve a real build problem, improve two useful sets at once, or support a character the account is actively developing.
The Event Doubles Claims, Not Farming Time
The official Planar Fissure announcement states that double rewards can be obtained from Immersion Rewards or Ornament Extraction in Simulated Universe. A claim still needs an event opportunity and either an Immersifier or Trailblaze Power. The available opportunity count is displayed in the event interface; HoYoverse's public notice does not publish one universal number, so players should read the in-game counter rather than relying on an old event total.
The most important rule is that opportunities remain limited for the whole event and do not refresh during its run. There is no daily advantage to spending them immediately. Waiting until a character's build target is clear does not reduce the double-drop value, provided every opportunity is used before the event closes.

Choose a World by Account Value, Not by One Perfect Piece
A strong target world has two useful sets. If one set supports the main damage dealer while the second fits a healer, sustain unit or support, almost every five-star drop retains some account value. A world where one set is excellent and the other has no current owner can still be correct for an urgent breakpoint, but it converts more double claims into salvage material.
Account situation | Best Planar Fissure target | Reason |
|---|---|---|
New or returning account | A world with two broadly usable sets | Raises several characters without demanding perfect substats |
Core team nearly complete | The set used by the team's weakest slot | Improves the largest remaining bottleneck |
New character under construction | The character's functional set and correct main stats | Creates a playable baseline before chasing luxury rolls |
Endgame optimizer | A high-value world with multiple possible upgrades | Reduces the chance that all doubled drops become salvage |
Main stats should come before substat perfection. A damage dealer missing the correct elemental sphere or link rope usually gains more from a merely usable main-stat piece than from another attempt to replace an already strong ornament. Supports can be evaluated by the breakpoint their ornament helps reach, such as speed, survivability or energy needs, instead of by a generic rarity standard.
Immersifiers and Trailblaze Power Pay the Same Event Bonus
The event accepts either resource path, so the better choice depends on what is already stored. Using existing Immersifiers first can free capacity and avoid wasting future Simulated Universe rewards. Trailblaze Power is reasonable when the account has no urgent Trace, ascension or Light Cone material deadline. The doubled claim does not make a bad ornament world automatically better than a guaranteed character upgrade elsewhere; it simply improves the return on claims you already intended to make.
Players planning optional banner pulls can keep that spending decision separate from relic farming. Current Honkai: Star Rail top-up options relate to paid currency, while Planar Fissure itself uses normal progression resources and does not require a purchase.
Before the first claim, write down the exact slot each target character still needs: sphere or rope, required main stat, and the weakest equipped piece. This prevents a common efficiency loss in which a player enters the correct world but keeps every five-star drop without knowing what can actually replace current gear. A two-character shortlist is enough. If a drop cannot improve either target or serve a realistic future build, it can be evaluated as salvage without interrupting the whole farming session.

Stop When the Counter Reaches Zero
Before each extraction, check three things on the same screen: the selected world, the remaining event opportunities and the resource being consumed. The most expensive mistake is not receiving a weak drop; random stats are expected. It is spending a limited double opportunity in the wrong world because the previous farming selection remained active.
After every batch, lock pieces with the correct main stat or rare substat combination before salvaging. Compare new ornaments against the actual equipped piece, not against an imagined perfect roll. Once the event counter reaches zero, further runs return normal rewards. At that point, continuing is an ordinary Trailblaze Power decision and should be compared again with Trace materials, ascension resources and other guaranteed upgrades.
When does Planar Fissure end?
It ends on October 25, 2026, at 03:59 server time.
Do Planar Fissure opportunities reset every day?
No. The official notice says the limited opportunity count does not reset during the event.
Can Ornament Extraction receive the double reward?
Yes. Both Immersion Rewards and Ornament Extraction are listed as eligible claim methods.
Should Trailblaze Power be spent before Immersifiers?
Not automatically. Use stored Immersifiers when that prevents capacity waste; use Trailblaze Power only when ornament farming beats the account's other urgent upgrades.
