·Genshin Impact Guides Hub

Version 6.7, officially named Luna VIII and subtitled "Sunny Summer Fontinalia," launches on July 1, 2026. This update closes out the Nod-Krai story cycle before the game moves toward Snezhnaya and Version 7.0. Players can look forward to the new five-star Cryo Claymore character Sandrone, a full summer festival in Fontaine, seven returning characters receiving talent upgrades through the Witch's Revelation system, two new character outfits, a free copy of Charlotte, and the latest season of the free five-star constellation selector event. Whether you are saving Primogems for pulls or planning your resource budget, this guide covers everything the update has to offer. If you need Genesis Crystals or a Crystals top-up before the banners go live, you can use the secure UID-only recharge service on Topuplist for fast delivery across all servers.

Luna VIII Version 6.7 Release Date and Maintenance

The Luna VIII update goes live on July 1, 2026. HoYoverse follows its standard maintenance schedule, suspending server access for approximately five hours before the new version unlocks. All Travelers who have reached Adventure Rank 5 or above before maintenance begins will receive maintenance compensation of 300 Primogems delivered via in-game mail. These rewards must be claimed within 30 days of the update release.

Pre-installation is available for both PC and mobile platforms ahead of the launch, allowing players to download the bulk of the update data early and reduce waiting time once servers come back online. Storage requirements vary depending on installed voice-over packs.

Version 6.7 Banner Schedule and New Characters

Luna VIII introduces Sandrone, a new five-star Cryo Claymore character, also known as "The Marionette" and ranked as the Seventh of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers. The banner schedule is split into two phases.

Phase

Duration

Featured Five-Star Characters

Phase I

July 1 – July 21, 2026

Sandrone (New), Citlali

Phase II

July 21 – August 11, 2026

Raiden Shogun, Columbina

Sandrone increases the entire party's Stellar-Conduct DMG through the Polestar Field. She commands Fagio, a fully autonomous construct that deals Stellar-Conduct DMG with each Charged Attack and accumulates Decoding Power. Once Fagio reaches its firing limit, its attack intervals increase. By using her Elemental Skill, Sandrone can maneuver through the Polestar Field while firing at opponents, reducing Decoding Power to prevent Fagio from overloading. Her Elemental Burst bombards opponents with artillery fire, and beam DMG dealt within the Polestar Field is considered Stellar-Conduct DMG.

A new Lightrace Wish banner type also debuts in Phase I, running alongside the standard character banners. This banner shares its pity counter with Chronicled Wish, meaning pulls carry over between the two.

A new five-star Claymore weapon, A Teaspoon of Transcendence, is also introduced in this version. If you want to secure enough pulls for Sandrone or the Phase II reruns, Topuplist offers a quick and reliable way to top up Genesis Crystals using only your server and UID.

Sunny Summer Fontinalia — Flagship Summer Event

The headline event of Luna VIII takes Travelers back to Fontaine for the Fontinalia Film Festival. Sunny Summer Fontinalia is a permanent event, meaning there is no countdown forcing players to rush. You can clear it at your own pace long after launch and still collect every reward.

The event splits into three activity modes centered around managing a special aquarium.

Operation Deep-Dive Treasure — Travelers head to designated underwater areas to earn funds by completing specific objectives, such as recovering scattered collectibles or bringing back certain aquatic creatures.

Kaleido-Catch — Players use special bait to retrieve recovered fish from the pond and return them to the aquarium tanks to earn funds.

Curio Ledger — Travelers manage the aquarium's souvenir shop, selling salvaged and restored items to visitors to earn funds.

Funds earned from these activities can be used to upgrade Marvelous Abilities, increasing overall capabilities to better complete tasks. Completing the event's various tasks gains Venue Popularity. When Venue Popularity reaches the required level, players can invite Charlotte (Cryo) to join their party for free, along with her new outfit Hurlock Variations, a Crown of Insight, Primogems, and other rewards.

Completing the Story Quest "Sunny Summer Fontinalia" during the event grants additional rewards including Primogems, Character Ascension Materials, Character Level-Up Materials, and Local Specialties of Fontaine. After the event ends, the Story Quest can still be accepted and completed normally.

The event's total reward pool includes 1,060 Primogems, one Crown of Insight, one free Charlotte, and Charlotte's outfit Hurlock Variations.

Luna VIII delivers two new character outfits. One is free through the flagship event, and the other is a paid purchase from the in-game store.

Witch's Revelation — Seven Character Buffs and the Stellar-Conduct Reaction

One of the most significant additions in Luna VIII is the Witch's Revelation system, which grants seven existing characters new Additional Talents and upgraded Constellation effects. All of these buffs are built around Stellar-Conduct, a new Elemental Reaction that fires when Cryo meets Electro under the right conditions.

How to Unlock the Witch's Revelation Buffs

The buffs are not automatic. Each one is gated behind a short quest, and players only get the option for characters they own and have leveled high enough.

Complete the World Quest "Revelations by Chance" to obtain the Witch's Revelation Case, which opens up the rest of the process. Then bring the character you want to upgrade to at least Level 70. The Witch's Revelation quest for that character only becomes available once this requirement is met. Start and finish that character's Witch's Revelation quest. When it ends, the character permanently gains a new Additional Talent and upgraded effects on their Constellations at Levels 1, 2, 4, and 6.

How the Stellar-Conduct Reaction Works

When triggered by certain Cryo and Electro characters, the surrounding area briefly transforms into a Polestar Field. This field stores excess Cryo and Electro energy and converts it into buffs, increasing Stellar-Conduct DMG, Cryo DMG, and Electro DMG dealt by all characters within its range, while also reducing opponents' Physical RES. Certain existing Cryo and Electro characters receive unique enhancements while within the field.

Not every character can set off Stellar-Conduct, and most of the new talents only activate while a Polestar Field is present. In practice, the field, and usually a character who can create it, is what switches these upgrades on. Sandrone serves as a key enabler of this reaction through her Polestar Field mechanics.

New Moon Exploration Area

Luna VIII introduces the Moon as a brand new permanently available exploration area. Players can explore using lower gravity to traverse ancient dragon ruins and uncover mysteries surrounding Columbina, complete with a lunar shuttle exploration experience.

Venture through a lunar sea and gaze at Teyvat spinning in the sky above. To improve the exploration experience, both the Moon and Teyvat maps receive a new layered display feature that shows the player's current level in real time, with the indicator remaining visible when a landmark is selected.

New sub-areas within the Frost Moon region include Lunar Highlands, Moontide Sea, and Dark Side of the Moon. The Dunanna Pit is another new area added in this update.

Free Five-Star Constellation Selector — To Temper Thyself and Journey Far

The To Temper Thyself and Journey Far event returns in Luna VIII, allowing players to claim a free five-star constellation from a character of their choice. By completing Daily and Weekly Training Goals, Travelers earn various rewards, including a five-star Stella Fortuna from a character they own.

The selector includes Standard Banner five-star characters. New Standard Characters added after the latest Anniversary Event also become available in the next Anniversary Selector.

If you have some Standard five-star characters at C6, you can use the selector to obtain Masterless Stella Fortuna to raise the level cap of your characters instead of picking a new constellation. Given the Witch's Revelation buffs arriving in this version, characters like Yae Miko, Wriothesley, Cyno, and Qiqi are among the strengthened characters worth considering when planning your pulls and constellation investments. For a smooth Crystal top-up experience during the banner period, Topuplist provides fast and secure service with just your server and UID.
