The Awesome Medal Event is the second Medal Event of Clash of Clans' anniversary month, and it is the one the community has been waiting for. It introduces the Elephant Rider temporary troop, the new Revenge Deck Epic Equipment, and a reward track packed with Quest Medals, ores, Card Packs, and magic items. It follows the standard Medal Event format: you collect an event currency in battles, climb a reward track, and spend your earnings at the Trader Shop.
This guide covers everything you need — event dates, how to earn Card Tokens, the full free and Event Pass reward tracks, the bonus track, what to buy at the Trader Shop, and the smartest exchange priorities before the event ends on August 31.
What Is the Awesome Medal Event?
The Awesome Medal Event is a progression event built around collecting Card Tokens — the event's dedicated currency — during Home Village battles. Every token you collect advances you along a reward track, and the track pays out Quest Medals, the currency you then spend at the Trader Shop. It is the same structure that Medal Events have used all year, and it is consistently the highest-value content in a Clash month for mid-progression accounts, because the Trader stock converts directly into permanent power rather than one-off resources.
Two new additions make this edition stand out:
The Elephant Rider: A temporary troop that unlocks early on the free reward track, giving every eligible player access to the month's community-designed unit without any purchase.
The Revenge Deck: A brand-new Epic Equipment available from the Trader Shop in exchange for Quest Medals.
The event also feeds directly into the Clash of Cards collection event: its reward track hands out multiple Card Packs, so grinding the Medal Event is simultaneously the fastest way to close out your 60-card binder.
Event Dates and Eligibility
Detail | Value |
Start date | August 12, 2026 |
End date | August 31, 2026 |
Minimum Town Hall | Town Hall 6 |
Starting tokens | 100 (immediately unlocks the first reward tier) |
Tokens per battle | Up to 200 (destroy 3 marked buildings) |
Main track completion | 16,000 Card Tokens |
Bonus track completion | 7,000 additional tokens |
Total for full completion | 23,000 Card Tokens |
The event is open to Town Hall 6 and above, and it runs through the end of the anniversary month. Because the final Clash of Cards trading deadline is September 2 at 08:00 UTC, you want your Medal Event grinding wrapped up by August 31 so you still have time to spend your Quest Medals and finish any card trades.
How to Earn Card Tokens
Earning Card Tokens is simple and forgiving:
Destroy marked buildings during multiplayer battles. Three random buildings in the enemy base carry the event marking, and destroying them grants up to 200 Card Tokens per battle.
Battle modes: Tokens are earned in Battle Mode, Revenge Attacks, and Ranked Battles.
Win requirement: You do not need to win the battle — destroying the required buildings is enough to earn progression.
That last point is the most important: Medal Events reward participation, not perfection. Even a failed attack that takes down the three marked buildings contributes the same tokens as a three-star. For efficient farming, prioritize bases where the marked buildings sit near the edge, so a quick funneling attack secures the tokens without burning a full army.
The token requirement scales as you climb the track — early tiers take only a few battles, while the final stretch between 12,000 and 16,000 tokens needs significantly more volume. Spreading your attacks across the event's three-week window rather than cramming them into the final weekend makes the whole grind feel much lighter.
How to Farm Card Tokens Efficiently
The fastest token farming follows a few simple rules:
Target the marked buildings, not the star: Because tokens are earned by destroying the three marked buildings — not by winning — a quick raid that snipes the marks and retreats is more efficient than a full army commit. Look for bases where the marked buildings sit near the edge and funnel to them.
Use your cheapest farm army: Sneaky Goblins or a light Archer/Minion comp can take three buildings and bail in under a minute. Winning the battle is irrelevant to token income, so optimize for speed, not destruction percentage.
Revenge Attacks are a free source: Revenge Attacks count toward the event and let you hit bases that have already been damaged — often with the marked buildings already weakened.
Stack your grind with Clash of Cards: The same battles that earn Card Tokens also feed your daily Card Hunt packs (2 per day). Every Medal Event attack is simultaneously Clash of Cards progress, so the two events are best farmed together in one session.
Play steadily, not in bursts: At roughly 200 tokens per battle, the 16,000-token track needs about 80 efficient raids. Split across the event's 20 days, that is four quick raids a day — easily manageable alongside your normal routine. Leaving it to the final week turns it into a 30-attack weekend slog.
The Reward Track: Free vs Event Pass
Like the Gold Pass, the Awesome Medal Event has two reward tracks: a free track available to everyone, and a premium Event Pass track with additional rewards alongside it.
Free Track Highlights
The free track is generous this month:
The Elephant Rider troop unlocks early — one of the first meaningful tiers.
Nine 3-Card-Pack tiers (27 Card Packs total) feed the Clash of Cards binder.
3,100 Quest Medals across the track — enough for one full Epic Equipment purchase.
3,100 Shiny Ore, 1,050 Shiny Ore, and 850 Shiny Ore tiers plus multiple Glowy Ore tiers.
The Clan Castle Cake decoration and 2 Mighty Morsels (Magic Snacks).
The Awesome Orb as the final free-track reward.
Event Pass Track Highlights
The Event Pass doubles the loot for players who want the premium side:
5,500 Quest Medals total — nearly double the free track, and enough for the Revenge Deck plus a second Epic Equipment or a stack of high-value items.
35 Starry Ore at the top tier, plus Glowy Ore at nearly every step.
Additional ores that stack with the free track's own ore rewards.
Is the Event Pass Worth It?
The Event Pass question comes up every Medal Event, and the answer depends on your account stage:
Early-to-mid progression (TH9–TH13): The pass is excellent value. The 5,500 Quest Medals convert into ores and magic items that compress weeks of Hero Equipment progression, and the Revenge Deck plus one returning Epic gives you two permanent power pieces in a single month. This is the best value the pass has offered this year.
Late game (TH14+): The value shifts to the 35 Starry Ore and the second Epic slot. If you already own Electro Boots, Magic Mirror, and the other returning pieces, the pass still pays for itself through ore alone — Starry Ore is the hardest resource to farm, and 35 of it is roughly two weeks of Legend League grinding.
Free-to-play: You do not need the pass to enjoy the event. The free track's 3,100 medals cover the Revenge Deck, the Elephant Rider unlock is free, and the 27 free Card Packs feed the Clash of Cards binder. The pass adds quantity, not access — every headline reward is reachable without it.
Note: The Revenge Deck Boost (August 26–31) makes the Revenge Deck a five-day max-level trial once you own it. Whether you buy the pass or not, make sure you own the Revenge Deck before August 26 — the boost window is the cheapest way to test whether the equipment is worth your ore permanently.

The Bonus Track (Extra Medals)
Once you complete the main 16,000-token track, a bonus track unlocks that keeps paying out for continued token collection:
Additional Tokens | Bonus Reward |
1,000 | 40 Quest Medals |
2,000 | 40 Quest Medals |
3,000 | 40 Quest Medals |
5,000 | 40 Quest Medals |
7,000 | 40 Quest Medals |
The bonus track tops out at 7,000 extra tokens for 200 extra Quest Medals — a small but welcome tail on the main grind for players who keep attacking after completing the event.
Quest Medals Total: How Many You Can Earn
Adding everything up:
Track | Quest Medals |
Free reward track | 3,100 |
Bonus track | 200 |
Event Pass track | 5,500 |
Total (all tracks) | 8,800 |
Free-to-play players walk away with 3,300 Quest Medals (3,100 + bonus) — exactly enough for the 3,100-medal Revenge Deck, or any other single 3,100-medal item. Event Pass holders can reach 8,800, which covers the Revenge Deck plus a second Epic Equipment or a serious stack of ores, magic items, and decorations.
Supercell also drops extra Quest Medals via social media announcements during the event, so keep an eye on official channels for bonus giveaways. Trader Shop: What to Spend Medals On
Quest Medals are spent at the Trader Shop, which this month restocks with Epic Equipment, decorations, ores, and magic items:
Item | Quest Medals | Available |
Revenge Deck (Epic Equipment) | 3,100 | 1 |
Card Flipper (exclusive decoration) | 3,100 | 1 |
Electro Boots / Magic Mirror / Dark Crown / Heroic Torch / Spiky Ball | 3,100 each | 1 each |
10x Starry Ore | 320 | 8 |
60x Glowy Ore | 280 | 10 |
350x Shiny Ore | 325 | 40 |
Book of Heroes | 1,030 | 3 |
Rune of Elixir / Rune of Gold | 2,100 | 2 each |
Builder Potion | 590 | 7 |
Clan House parts | 515 each | 1 |
Revenge Deck Epic Equipment
The Revenge Deck is the event's new Epic Equipment, and it costs 3,100 Quest Medals. It is a passive counter-damage piece for the Dragon Duke: anything that attacks the Duke — an air defense, a defending Clan Castle troop, any attacker — takes damage back at a 0.8-second interval, and every hit also heals the hero (30 heal at level 1, up to 60 at max level 27; counter damage 150 at level 1, 225 maxed).
Because the equipment is passive, it is strong against exactly the things that usually stop the Duke: defending Clan Castle troops and clustered defenses. And thanks to the Revenge Deck Boost (August 26–31), the equipment is boosted to max level for that window once you own it — five free days of a maxed Epic, no ore required, and a perfect testing period before you decide whether to invest ore permanently.
Returning Epic Equipment
The Trader Shop also brings back five previous Epic Equipment pieces at 3,100 Quest Medals each: Electro Boots, Magic Mirror, Dark Crown, Heroic Torch, and Spiky Ball. For players who missed any of these in earlier Medal Events, this is the cheapest way to own them — Medal Events are the only route outside ore-heavy crafting, and each piece is a permanent power upgrade for its hero.
Exchange Priority: What to Buy First
Free players: Buy the Revenge Deck first. Your 3,300 free medals exactly cover it, it is the only piece that disappears if you skip it (the returning Epics have come back before and will again), and the Aug 26–31 boost window makes it the best-value use of your medals this month.
Event Pass players: Revenge Deck + one returning Epic you lack. With 8,800 medals, the Revenge Deck plus your highest-priority missing Epic (Electro Boots and Magic Mirror are the most versatile of the returning set) is the strongest permanent-power play.
Decorators: The Card Flipper at 3,100. If you already own every returning Epic, the exclusive decoration is the only limited cosmetic in the shop, and anniversary decorations like it do not typically return.
Everyone else: Ores over one-off items. Starry Ore (320 for 10x) and Glowy Ore (280 for 60x) are the most consistent long-term value — Hero Equipment progression is the single biggest power sink in the modern game, and ore purchases here convert medals into permanent power.
Whichever route you take, spend your medals before the Trader stock refreshes: the Medal Event's Trader Shop is only open while the event is live, and unspent Quest Medals do not carry over to next month. There is no bank for them, so a medal left in your wallet at midnight on August 31 is a medal wasted.
If the grind ever outpaces your schedule, a quick Clash of Clans top-up at Topuplist through the Topuplist storefront helps you keep raiding, upgrading, and collecting all month long.
