Brawl Stars Legendary Starr Drops Don’t Guarantee a Brawler

·Brawl Stars Guides Hub

A Legendary Starr Drop guarantees the drop’s rarity, not a Legendary Brawler. Its reward can be a Star Power, a Hypercharge, an Epic skin or a Brawler category. The word “Legendary” on the opening animation describes the container you received; it does not promise a character of the same rarity inside.

There are two different probabilities to read: the chance that an ordinary random Starr Drop becomes Legendary, and the chance that an already-Legendary drop selects a particular reward category. Mixing those numbers makes free rewards and paid offers look much more predictable than they are.

The 2% chance chooses rarity, not your final Brawler

Supercell’s Starr Drop Chances lists the ordinary rarity distribution as Rare 50%, Super Rare 28%, Epic 15%, Mythic 5% and Legendary 2%. That final 2% gets you into the Legendary reward table. It is not a 2% chance of receiving a Legendary Brawler from every ordinary drop.

These percentages describe categories within that specific Legendary table. Eligibility and fallback rules still apply. A guaranteed Legendary drop skips the initial rarity roll, but it does not skip this reward selection.

What the combined chance actually tells you

For an ordinary random Starr Drop using those published tables, the route to the random Legendary Brawler category is 2% × 2.44% = 0.0488%. That is roughly one category selection per 2,049 ordinary drops on average. This is a calculation from the two tables, not a promised opening schedule or an additional pity rule.

If an offer starts with a guaranteed Legendary Starr Drop, use the 2.44% category chance directly instead. Multiplying by 2% again would count a rarity gate the offer has already removed. Neither figure is the chance of getting one specific Legendary Brawler, because the category itself is random and account eligibility still matters.

The practical comparison is therefore between what an offer explicitly names and what remains random. “One Legendary Starr Drop” and “one Legendary Brawler” are different deliverables. A count of high-rarity containers cannot be converted into a guaranteed roster upgrade without reading the item description.

Fallback Credits are part of the reward system

Supercell states that an already-owned or ineligible reward can be replaced with a fallback. In the published table, the random Epic Brawler category has a 500-Credit fallback; the Mythic and Legendary Brawler categories each have a 1,000-Credit fallback. Selecting a Brawler category therefore does not always mean receiving a new Brawler on the account.

The same distinction applies outside characters. The table lists 1,000 Coins as the fallback for a Star Power or Hypercharge, and 500 Bling for an Epic skin. These are category-specific replacements, not evidence that every Legendary drop promises a fixed quantity of Coins or Credits. Check which reward branch was involved before comparing your result with someone else’s screenshot.

Brawler-specific rewards also have ownership requirements. The standard Starr Drop page says you must own a Brawler to receive their associated rewards, and seasonal or time-limited items are excluded unless stated otherwise. An attractive skin being visible somewhere else in the game does not automatically put it into the ordinary Starr Drop pool.

Ranked and special drops need their own rules

A Ranked Starr Drop is a separate reward mechanism. Supercell’s Starr Drops overview describes Ranked rewards including seasonal skins, sprays, profile icons and Bling. Do not paste the ordinary Legendary table onto a Ranked container merely because both names contain “Starr Drop.”

The broader Drop Chances page also distinguishes single drops, multi-drop boxes and event-specific variants. Likewise, rewards from the first six daily wins are not a promise of six ordinary Starr Drops: the daily reward types can vary. Count the exact container type before estimating what a week of rewards might provide.

If you are considering an optional purchase through the Brawl Stars product page, judge it by the specific product and reward description. Extra spending does not change the published probabilities of an ordinary Starr Drop. For a particular Brawler or cosmetic, a clearly named reward is a different proposition from more chances at a random one.
