Arknights Endfield Contingency Contract Re-Ignition Guide: Best Teams & Rewards
Complete guide to Arknights Endfield Contingency Contract Re-Ignition: Test Criteria, Risk Levels, best teams, Vitrified Coin farming, and Secret Sanctuary rewards.

What Is Contingency Contract: Re-Ignition?
Contingency Contract: Re-Ignition Experimental Operation is the first Contingency Contract (CC) season in Arknights: Endfield. It is a limited-time endgame challenge where you enter a multi-wave combat operation and build your own difficulty by selecting Test Criteria before the fight begins. According to the official Arknights: Endfield patch notes, the event opens on June 19, 2026, and the matching exchange store, Secret Sanctuary, stays open until July 23, 2026.
Completing Contract Missions awards Vitrified Coins, which you spend in the Secret Sanctuary for portraits, frames, Oroberyls, and progression crates. The headline rewards are Portrait: Ancient Contract, Portrait Frame: Contingent Inscription, and Vitrified Coins themselves.
Event Schedule and Availability
Daily reset: All mission progress and reward-claim status reset every day at 04:00 (server time). Unclaimed rewards are auto-removed with no compensation — claim your Vitrified Coins and shop purchases before the reset.
How to Unlock Re-Ignition
You must clear main-story Chapter I, Process II: Paving the Way and reach a sufficient Exploration Level to access the mode. The operation features 4 waves of enemies across 13 enemy types, with healing masses between waves (your team is still considered in combat while resting). Tactics and consumables cannot be used during the challenge, so your build has to stand on its own.
Understanding Test Criteria and Risk Level
The difficulty of every run is defined by Test Criteria (also called Risks). Each criterion carries a Risk Value of 1–3, and the sum of all selected criteria equals your Risk Level. This season contains 46 criteria grouped into 23 groups. For the full list of all 46 criteria across 23 groups, see community breakdowns such as arknightsendfield.gg's Contingency Contract guide.
The Three Types of Test Criteria
Ambient – changes the environment or battlefield mechanics.
Edit – buffs the enemy forces.
Team – applies debuffs to your operators.
Key Criteria, Conflicts, and Risk Value
Key Criteria (marked with a key icon, e.g., Ambient: Overclock and Ambient: Tremor) unlock the Locked Criteria columns once selected. You need to accumulate 10 Risk points after activating a Key Criterion to open columns 16–22.
Mutually exclusive criteria are linked together — you may activate only one from a conflict group (for example, Overclock vs. Tremor).
The recommended reward target band is Risk 20–35. You do not need the maximum Risk to clear all valuable content; most players finish everything that matters at Risk 18–20, while top clears on community trackers reach Risk 52.
Best Teams for Re-Ignition (Risk 20 to Risk 52)
Community guides recommend running operators at Level 80 with maxed Artificing and Essence Etching, and bringing at least two teams of different damage types to handle the varied enemy lineup. The two operators named most consistently as safe picks are Estella and Wulfgard.
Heat Team (Laevatain Core)
The Laevatain + Wulfgard Heat core is the most repeated recommendation across guides. Laevatain is the main DPS, Wulfgard enables and applies Heat, Akekuri feeds SP, and Ardelia keeps the squad alive while proccing Corrosion. Drop Gilberta into the fourth slot if you want more buffs and light healing over raw sustain.
Pogranichnik CC Control Team
For players who own Pogranichnik, the dedicated CC lineup of Pogranichnik + Chen + Lifeng + Ardelia leans on crowd control and corrosion. Chen and Lifeng provide the control and combo support, while Ardelia forces Corrosion to amplify damage — a setup tuned specifically for the constraint-heavy Contingency Contract environment.
Gilberta Hybrid and F2P Options
If you prefer an Electric/Arts approach, Gilberta + Avywenna + Perlica + Arclight generates SP efficiently and chains reactions. Free-to-play players can run Chen Qianyu or Endministrator with Estella and Alesh, stacking Vulnerable to scale damage without premium units.
Pro tip: Because you cannot use consumables mid-fight, pre-battle sustain (Ardelia/Gilberta healing) matters more than burst. Build for survival across 4 waves, not just the first.

Earning Vitrified Coins: Missions and Milestones
Vitrified Coins come from three mission categories. Cycle Missions rotate in over the season (some unlock on later dates), Test Criteria Milestones pay out for hitting criterion counts, and Phase Missions grant the portrait and frame.
Efficiency note: You do not need extreme Risk to fill the shop. Rotate the daily Sanity Supply tasks (3 per day grant Sanity Usage Permits, Emergency Sanity Boosters, Wuling Artificing Catalysts, and Coolant Gel) to keep farming, and stack Preset Contract Tasks (each worth 3–12 points) to hit the criterion milestones quickly.
Secret Sanctuary: Rewards and What to Buy First
Secret Sanctuary is the limited-time store where you spend Vitrified Coins. Important: Vitrified Coins do not carry over between seasons — spend them before July 23 or they are lost.
Secret Sanctuary Shop Tiers
Tier III also includes Heavy Cast Die, Arms INSP Sets, Protoset, Triphasic Nanoflake, Quadrant Fitting Fluid, Tachyon Screening Lattice, D96 Steel Sample 4, Metadiastima Photoemission Tube, and more Coolant Gel.
What to buy first: Prioritize Oroberyls (equivalent pull currency), the Advanced Progression Selection Crate Ⅰ, and Advanced Cognitive Carriers — these give the most account value and cannot be farmed elsewhere. Grab the limited Sticker: Contingency Contract (limit 1) and the Contingent Inscription / Ancient Contract portraits from Phase Missions before the season ends.
Once your operators are geared, don't let Vitrified Coins expire. Top up for the materials you need to push Risk Levels higher and clear more Contract Missions —Topuplist keeps your account stocked, or top up Arknights: Endfield directly here for instant Oroberyls and progression crates.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: Do I need the maximum Risk Level to get all rewards? No. The recommended reward band is Risk 20–35, and most valuable shop items are reachable at Risk 18–20. Only leaderboard bragging (community clears reach Risk 52) requires pushing higher.
Q2: How does Risk Level actually work? Each Test Criterion you activate adds a Risk Value of 1–3. The total of all selected criteria is your Risk Level, which gates milestone rewards and the highest Contract Missions.
Q3: What happens if I don't claim rewards before the daily reset? Mission progress and unclaimed rewards reset at 04:00 server time every day and are removed with no compensation. Always claim Vitrified Coins and shop purchases before reset.
Q4: Do Vitrified Coins carry over to the next Contingency Contract season? No. Vitrified Coins are season-limited and must be spent in the Secret Sanctuary before July 23, 2026, 04:00 (server time).
Q5: Which operators are best for Re-Ignition? Community guides consistently name Estella and Wulfgard as safe picks, with the Laevatain Heat core and the Pogranichnik CC control team as the top performing comps for Risk 20 through high brackets.
Q6: Can I use consumables or tactics during the operation? No. Tactics and consumables are disabled inside the challenge, so pre-built sustain (Ardelia/Gilberta healing) and crowd control are essential for surviving all 4 waves.
